Ideal for MAb and cellular protein production. Viable in vitro alternative to using mouse ascites. Bioreactors utilize innovate membrane technology to separate the cell cultivation area from the media chamber. Cells and cellular-secreted products with a MWCO over 10kD are retained between two non-cytotoxic membranes. The upper semi-permeable membrane allows continuous nutrient diffusion and waste elimination. The lower membrane provides direct oxygenation and ensures optimum gas exchange. Separate parts give access to either media or cell cultivation chamber allowing easy change of expended medium without interference of cell growth, function, or gas exchange.

The CL 6-Well is ideal for screening clones, optimizing media, and in vitro toxicology testing using six parallel 750µL growth chambers. Allows production of 2 x 107 cells per cell compartment. Allows viewing through an inverted microscope with an objective working distance of 4.6mm.

The CL350 bioreactor is ideal for stem cell expansion, primary cell culture, and antibody production. Allows production of up to 2 x 108 cells per cell compartment. The 5mL cultivation chamber is ideal for all tissues where cell density is important. A 350mL media compartment has vertical and horizontal volume markings from 50­350mL. Produces ~27mg/month of antibody.

The CL1000 bioreactor is ideal for monoclonal antibody production up to 5mg/mL, recombinant protein expression, and concentrated cell densities of 108 cell/mL. Allows production of up to 1 x 109 cells per cell compartment. The 15mL cultivation chamber is ideal for small production. A 1000mL media compartment has vertical and horizontal volume markings from 100­1000mL. Produces ~80mg/month of antibody.

Both the CL350 and CL1000 bioreactors have a pipette interface for 5, 10, and 25mL pipettes and a center window that allows viewing through an inverted microscope with an objective working distance of 2.5mm.

All bioreactors feature polystyrene housing, molded silicone gas transfer bottom, a 10,000 MWCO regenerated cellulose semi-permeable membrane, and a 0.2µm bottom vent membrane barrier located in cell innoculum port. Bioreactors are stackable to save space in an incubator. Gamma irradition sterilized, and pressure tested. Can be reused with same cell type under aseptic conditions.
