	Fireboy Safety Burners No Pilot Flame! The Fireboy Plus Bunsen Burner is a safe and portable sterilization system for laboratory procedures requiring flame sterilization. While it can be operated using in house gas & electricity, it can also function independently when equipped with a disposable gas cartridge and 7.2 volt battery (battery included). Gas sources include propane, butane, town and natural gas. The "Plus" operates in three modes: Continuous, Footswitch and Sensor. In continuous, the flame is ignited and remains on until turned off. A safety timer can be set from 10-60 minutes to prevent leaving the unit on accidentally. The footswitch mode allows for hands free operation of the unit by simply depressing the footswitch to ignite the flame. Releasing the footswitch extinguishes the flame. The Sensor mode ignites the flame when your hand passes within 6-8 cm of the infrared sensor. The safety switch can allow you to extinguish the flame after 3-12 seconds. Fireboy Eco is a non-portable version that operates by footswitch only. Ideal for use in laminar flow hood applications. Can be used with disposable butane cartridges.

	Other safety features include: Automatic Gas Shutoff: If the flame fails to ignite, the unit automatically shuts off the gas valve to prevent unspent gas from leaking into the laboratory. Control Voltage:Flashing red LED light if the voltage is lower than 6.4V. Temperature Control: Flashing red LED light if temperature of the burner chamber has reached a critical temperature (approx. 200° C). The monitoring is done via an ignition electrode with an integrated PTC resistor.

			Options: Windshield: Provides evenflame and protection in a horizontal laminar flow cabinet. Protection Dome: Can be employed for safety when using pathological materials. Both units are CE-UL approved.
